Refund Policy
Last updated: 2 May 2026
Hi — I'm Daniela, the person behind Kapybara Fun. I want this policy to be honest and easy to read, not buried in legalese. Here's how refunds work.
The short version
- Tokens you haven't used yet: refundable within 14 days of purchase.
- Tokens you've already spent: not refundable, because the puzzle generation has already happened on my end.
- Subscriptions: you can cancel anytime; you keep access until the end of your current billing period. I don't pro-rate refunds for partial periods.
- Lifetime plans: refundable within 14 days of purchase, as long as you haven't used a substantial portion of what you paid for.
- Something went wrong on my end? Email me. I'll make it right.
The longer version
Your right to withdraw (EU consumers)
If you live in the EU, you have a statutory right under the Consumer Rights Directive to withdraw from a digital services purchase within 14 days, no reason required.
By completing your purchase, you agree that the service begins immediately. This means tokens you've used or subscription days you've consumed are not refundable, but unused tokens, untouched subscriptions, and unused lifetime plans remain refundable for the full 14 days.
Token purchases
Tokens never expire — that's the deal, and I stand by it. Refund rules:
- Within 14 days, tokens unused: full refund, no questions.
- Within 14 days, tokens partially used: refund prorated for the unused tokens. For example, if you bought 1,000 tokens for $9 and used 200, I'll refund $7.20 for the 800 unused.
- After 14 days: tokens are non-refundable, but they don't expire — you can use them whenever.
Subscription plans (Creator)
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on your plan.
- Cancel anytime from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep full access until then.
- No partial refunds for unused time in a billing period. If you cancel on day 10 of a 30-day cycle, you keep access for 20 more days but I don't refund the remaining time.
- Annual plans: within the first 14 days, full refund if you haven't used subscription features. After 14 days, the same “no partial refund” rule applies — you keep access until the annual term ends.
- Tokens included with subscriptions: any tokens granted during your subscription stay in your account if you cancel — they don't disappear when the subscription ends.
Lifetime plans
A few things I want to be upfront about, because the word “lifetime” carries weight:
- What “lifetime” means here: access for as long as Kapybara Fun continues to operate as a service. It does notmean perpetual access regardless of whether the service exists. If I ever have to shut down the service (I hope not, but I want to be honest), lifetime customers won't be able to keep using it.
- If the service is discontinued: I commit to giving lifetime customers at least 60 days' advance notice and the ability to download any puzzle books they've created. Refunds in that scenario will be handled case by case based on how long you had access.
- Refund window: within 14 days of purchase, full refund as long as you haven't used a substantial portion of what the plan grants. After 14 days, lifetime plans are non-refundable.
- Not transferable: lifetime access is tied to your account and can't be sold or given to someone else.
When I'll always refund you
Some situations are on me, not you. In any of these, contact me and I'll refund without making you fight for it:
- A puzzle book failed to generate due to a bug on my side and tokens were charged
- You were double-charged or charged in error
- A feature you specifically subscribed for is broken and I can't fix it in a reasonable time
- Anything else where the service clearly didn't deliver what was promised
How to request a refund
The easiest way is to email me at support@kapybara.fun from the address you use on your Kapybara Fun account. Include:
- The order or transaction ID (you'll find it in your Stripe receipt)
- A short note about what you'd like refunded
I aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
Chargebacks
If you have a problem, please email me first — I'd much rather solve it directly than go through a chargeback dispute. Initiating a chargeback without contacting me may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is reviewed.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on the site and, for active subscribers, by email. Any policy changes apply only to purchases made after the new version takes effect — your existing purchases are governed by the policy in place at the time you bought them.
Thank you!
Daniela and Kapybara Fun
